The main building is an adobe villa built around 1912 for Connecticut natives Jack and Gertrude Nairn,〔(Casa del Gavilan, a Cimarron Bed and Breakfast inspected and approved by the New Mexico Bed and Breakfast Association )〕 who purchased the land in 1910 from George Webster.
